Jason R. Brooks ’20, from Wayne, Maine, will deliver the Valedictorian Message during Saint Joseph’s College’s 2020 Commencement exercises which will be held virtually on May 9 at 10am. Jason is a 2016 graduate of Maranacook Community High School in Readfield. He will earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Business and Sport Management major. He chose to pursue a Business and Sport Management major at Saint Joseph’s College because of his deep passion and love for sports. He also felt an integrated major would provide more career opportunities for him.
Jason has been on the Dean’s list every semester while at Saint Joseph’s. During his junior year, he was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society.
Jason was a member of the baseball team during his first three years at Saint Joe’s. In addition, he worked with the on-campus Events staff throughout his four years at the college. Since the fall semester of his junior year, he has been an intern in the Sports Information Department, creating athletics videos, inputting data into to the athletics’ website, and writing post-game articles. Jason began interning for the Maine Red Claws basketball team the spring semester of his senior year, developing his knowledge of the business behind professional sports. Jason has also been a counselor at the Ladd Recreation Center in Wayne for the past seven summers.
This fall, Jason will pursue a Master of Science in Business Administration.
