Online Associate of Science Degrees
Saint Joseph’s College Online offers two majors leading to the associate of science degree. Each major has its own set of core course requirements that provide students with a quality education that enhances their professional skills.
These online degree programs are specifically designed for students with interests in business administration, or psychology OR for current or aspiring radiologic technologists who have pursued or will pursue another radiography training program. Most majors are designed as foundations for specific bachelor of science degrees available through Saint Joseph’s College. Faculty with practical industry experience work one-on-one with you to ensure your success.
Curriculum
Students enrolled in one of our online associate degree programs must earn 66 semester-hour credits. Twenty-five percent of the total credits required must be completed through Saint Joseph’s College, and at least eighteen (18) semester-hour credits completed at SJC must be within the student's major.
Majors Offered
Radiologic Science Administration
The Associate of Science degree with a major in Radiologic Science Administration (AS/RSA) will provide a degree completion option for individuals pursuing certification in radiologic technology. Students may enroll in the program while working through an approved Radiologic Technologist certificate program, but may not complete the degree until the certificate program has been completed and the transcripts verified. The AS/RSA degree totals 66 semester-hour credits. Up to 30 of those credits can transfer in from your technical training alone. For more information on how transfer credit is applied to this program, contact an online admissions counselor.
PLEASE NOTE: the SJC Online Interdisciplinary Studies program is no longer accepting applications for admissions.
The interdisciplinary studies (IDS) degree offers a solid background for students who are employed, or are seeking employment, in business or psychology. The AS IDS program is 66 semester-hour credits long.
Students in the AS IDS program may choose to study with one of these minors:
- Business Administration
The business administration minor serves as a foundation for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree completion program. Courses help develop accounting, economic, marketing, and business management skills and build a solid foundation in basic business practices with an emphasis on its application to “real world” situations. - Psychology
The psychology minor serves as a foundation for the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree completion program. It involves the study of behavior and mental processes as well as the theories applied in evaluating behavior. It is for students who are interested in learning more about motivation and behavior.
