You’ve been accepted at Saint Joe’s. You’ve applied for financial aid and received your financial aid offer letter. But what does it mean and what do you do next?

Please review your financial aid offer letter carefully and the information posted here.

Your original financial aid offer is assumed ACCEPTED by you, we will let you know if a revision of your package requires your signature. To reduce or decline a loan you must submit a signed Loan Change Form which can be found on the Forms & Helpful Links page. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your aid package. Our toll free number is 800.752.1266 or e-mail your question to finaid@sjcme.edu.

Financial Aid Terms and Conditions

Your aid package is based on the information that we have received and reviewed to date.

You are required to report any scholarships you have received from organizations outside of Saint Joseph's College to the Office of Financial Aid. If you are the recipient of other grants, scholarships, or benefits, your financial aid package may need to be adjusted.

Please submit any items listed as "not received" or "not signed" as quickly as you are able so that we may finalize your eligibility.

Your financial aid offer is based on your major, class level, whether you live on or off campus and your enrollment status. Your aid is subject to change if any one of these is different than what is listed on your offer letter. Please notify us of any corrections needed as quickly as possible.

The "Estimated Balance Due" amount can be paid using our interest-free payment plan (a participation fee of $60 applies), Federal Parent Plus loan, or private loan. Please see our Payment Options section for more information.

Please review more information about our grants including the Saint Joseph's Grant and the Family Grant. For scholarship and Tuition Waiver information, go to the scholarship section of our web site.

We will send additional paperwork in May that is needed to process your student loans.

You must maintain  Satisfactory Academic Progress in order to be considered for financial aid each year.

If you indicated you were interested in work study on your FAFSA and you are eligible for that federal program, you will see Federal Work Study listed on your offer letter. Students who are not eligible may want to consider other positions on campus that are paid through the College payroll. Both types of positions are posted on our "Careers at SJC" page at the start of the year. Please note that we cannot guarantee a position. Your financial aid offer indicates the upper limit of your earnings if you participate in the program.

If the financial circumstances that we have used to calculate your eligibility remain relatively the same and your family size and number in college are the same from year to year, your aid package is usually the same. However, some state and federal programs are limited by annually defined EFC cut-offs, or can be impacted by state and federal budgets.

Outside scholarships can often help reduce your family's share of the bill. Review our Outside Scholarship Policy or complete a Search for Outside Scholarships.
