Ashley is a 2006 graduate of Saint Joseph's College and 2015 graduate of Stony Brook University's Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. She dreamed of working in the NICU for as long as she can remember. After initially working in Pediatric Intensive Care at Tufts in Boston, she and her husband (also and SJC alum) moved back to Maine where she worked the last 14 years as a RN and NNP in the NICU. After discovering a love for teaching in the hospital setting, she decided to make the transition to instructing future nurses about what she loves most: Maternal Newborn Nursing and Pediatrics.
She currently teaches Maternal Newborn Health, Nursing Care of Children and Community Health Nursing and says her love and focus have always been in the areas of Pediatric and Neonatal healthcare. She has worked as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Maine Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, as well as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Intensive Care at Tufts Medical Center.
Ashley and her husband live near the Saint Joseph's campus and are kept happily busy with their 3 young daughters. They love enjoying all the Sebago Lake region has to offer and can often be found at the local beaches, hiking the trails or on the lake on their boat.
