Stay connected — join our Parents Council

Parents Council is a voice for all former and current parents of SJC students. As a governing body, the group discusses opportunities, issues, and challenges to present to the administration. The focus is on encouraging participation in the Parents Fund, serving as the communication liaison between the college and parents, assisting in developing and promoting programs for families, and spreading the word about Saint Joseph’s to the outside community.

Questions regarding the Parents Council? Contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at 207-893-7890 or alumni@sjcme.edu.

Make a difference — give to the Parents Fund

Parents of Saint Joseph’s College students, past and present, realize the exceptional education that St. Joe’s provides their children and show their appreciation by supporting the Parents Fund.

Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a student’s academic experience, and the college must rely on donations to its Annual Fund to subsidize educational priorities. As a key part of the Annual Fund, contributions to the Parents Fund are designated for priorities of greatest operational need. The Parents Fund allows Saint Joseph’s to broaden opportunities for current students, such as supporting scholarships, new teaching and learning activities, and student life.

Some specific examples include:

  • Attracting and retaining top faculty in each department
  • Creating new and improved programs
  • Promoting student groups and activities that enhance campus life
  • Providing financial aid
  • Acquiring new technology for current students and to attract prospective students

If you'd like to know more on how you can make a tax-free contribution to the college, call the Office of Institutional Advancement at 207-893-7890.
