Students at the college participate
in various activities such as working out in the fitness room,
going to comedy shows, lending a hand in community service projects,
and joining or organizing a club. Every week the Campus Activities
Board (CAB) plans events for the students to attend. There are also opportunities
to do things off-campus, such as taking a trip to Boston, skiing at local resorts,
or visiting Portland.

Studying for finals can be stressful. The Interhall Council puts together care packages (assorted snack foods) and will deliver them to your student during finals week. Look for a mailing with details in mid-November.
Campus Ministry, located in the Heffernan Center brings students together
to share their faith or questions about their faith. It is also a chance
to serve others and the community through volunteer work, such as working
at a local soup kitchen, or distributing clothes and food to homeless people
in New York City.

Parents Council is a voice for all former and current parents of SJC students. As a governing body, the group discusses opportunities, issues, and challenges to present to the administration. The focus is on encouraging participation in the Parents Fund, serving as the communication liaison between the college and parents, assisting in developing and promoting programs for families, and spreading the word about Saint Joseph’s to the outside community.
Questions regarding the Parents Council? Contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at 207-893-7890 or alumni@sjcme.edu.
Parents of Saint Joseph’s College students, past and present, realize the exceptional education that St. Joe’s provides their children and show their appreciation by supporting the Parents Fund.
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a student’s academic experience, and the college must rely on donations to its Annual Fund to subsidize educational priorities. As a key part of the Annual Fund, contributions to the Parents Fund are designated for priorities of greatest operational need. The Parents Fund allows Saint Joseph’s to broaden opportunities for current students, such as supporting scholarships, new teaching and learning activities, and student life.
