Homecoming 2008
Homecoming 2008 brought over 150 alumni, friends and family members back to campus to enjoy the festivities of the annual alumni baseball game, the alumnae softball and field hockey games, and the cross country alumni and student 5k. Sunday’s alumni soccer game was canceled due to rain, but the volleyball alumnae played on in the Alfond Center gymnasium!
Saturday’s
Royal Blue Club midday barbeque and beer garden on campus, evening homecoming
celebration at The Stadium in Portland, and Friday night’s
comedian in Alfond Hall auditorium filled out the weekend.
Amanda Thompson Vigue '03 and Davan Clawson '04 brought friends Jessica Vamvakias and Sam Smith to enjoy the day at Spring Meadows.
GOLF
The 18th Saint Joseph’s Golf Classic kicked off the weekend when 118 golfers came together on the links at Spring Meadows in Gray on Friday, Sept. 12. Alumni, friends, family and college coaches competed for winner’s bragging rights and in tournament contests. Thirty teams braved the wind and occasional rain to show their support for the Royal Blue Club, the tournament benefactor. The day finished with a cocktail reception, buffet dinner, awards ceremony and raffle at Spring Meadows, followed by joining the alumni softball players at the 19th Hole Party in The Chalet!
