New England Intercollegiate Baseball AssociationSTANDISH, ME – The New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) has released its 2009 All-New England DIII Baseball teams and three Saint Joseph’s players have been honored. Pat Moran ’10 (Winterport, ME/Hampden Academy) has garnered First Team honors as a designated hitter, while first baseman Ben Grant-Roy ’10 (Biddeford, ME/Biddeford) and utility player Chris Campbell ’11 (Rochester, NH/Spaulding) have been named to the Third Team. 5/3/09 - Monks Close Out Record Breaking Season with Sweep
Wade Oliver '09STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's (31-13) broke out the brooms on Sunday, taking a pair of games from Bates College (12-22), 16-11 and 10-5, in the seniors' final games at Larry Mahaney Diamond. Kevin Chamberlain '11 (Scarborough, ME) and Pat Moran '10 (Winterport, ME) collected the pitching decisions and improve to 3-1 and 8-1, respectively, on the season. Wade Oliver '09 (Owls Head, ME) was 3-5 with two runs and five RBI in the opener, and Chris Campbell '11 (Rochester, NH) was 7-8 with five runs scored in the twin bill. The 2009 Monks offense has set new single-season team records in at bats, runs, hits, doubles, RBI and hit batsmen. Read more

Ben Grant-Roy '10STANDISH, ME - Ben Grant-Roy '10 (Biddeford, ME) plated Wade Oliver '09 (Owls Head, ME) with a single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Saint Joseph's (29-13) past Southern Maine (31-5), 8-7, on Wednesday evening. Pat Moran '10 (Winterport, ME) improved to 7-1 on the season with seven strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings of relief and Todd Keneborus '11 (Hollis Center, ME/Cheverus) slugged two home runs in the win. The Huskies entered the game ranked #1 in the country, according to the latest D3Baseball.com poll. Read more
